Joe Kiefer is constantly working on issues that affect our community. He is also working on improving the environment of Evansville. Kiefer has already voted for the adoption of tree ordinance and the city becoming a member of Tree City USA. His next goal is for Evansville to improve the parks and recreational areas. He wants to get the community involved in cleaning up their parks. Kiefer is concerned with making the water and sewer rates between city and county equitable. He is currently working on the new wastewater treatment facility in hopes of a better economic growth in Evansville’s future. Kiefer finds it important to look into code enforcement and housing rehabilitation constantly. Keeping the Weinbach area as the small neighborhood business atmosphere remains one of Kiefer’s top issues.

One of Joe’s most current issues is attempting to put together a task force or committee to develop a viable plan for a possible consolidation of Vanderburgh County into the City of Evansville. Joe would love to hear your opinion on this idea.
